      The dazzling February 3 Concert for the La Grange Symphony Orchestra was kick off month for the LSO's Heart Strings Club Campaign. Heart Strings is a club in honor of the LSO's future concertgoers. Parents, grand parents, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors are invited to make a contribution to the LSO in recognition of the little ones who "tug at their heart strings" every day of the year.

      Funds raised through Heart Strings support the LSO's outreach into the schools - both free concerts and visiting artists - touching the lives of over 7,000 students each season. It also helps fund the free and very popular Family & Youth concerts each season presented by the LSO. This year's Heart String's corporate sponsor is D&D Construction.

     "We are delighted to play a role in assuring that the area's future concertgoers will always have the LSO and the glorious sound of music in their lives," stated CEO Zack Carey who was present for the evening.

     The Callaway Concert Hall lobby Tuesday evening was graced with posters displaying charming photographs of all of the Heart Strings members for everyone to enjoy both before the concert and during intermission.

     "There are presently 89 members of Heart Strings and the community is warmly invited to enroll their little future concertgoers in the Club," said LSO Board Member and Heart Strings Chairman Nancy Kustermann.

     Contributions are $25 for one child or $50 for two or more. Heart Strings members' and their sponsors' names are listed in the Symphony program for each concert. Checks made out to LSO Heart Strings can be sent to: La Grange Symphony Orchestra, P.O. Box 2321, La Grange, GA 30241.

     Contributors should list their Heart Strings members and their names as desired to be listed in the program.
